Life coaching does not explore your past or tell you what to do with the present. It’s future oriented. As a life coach, I work with women who want more than the status quo. They are ready, willing, and able to look within themselves for answers. Life coaching is not a substitute for counseling, and I recognize that I’m not here to “fix” your problems but to empower you to achieve your goals – big difference!
Will I benefit from life coaching?
If you recognize the need for change, if you are looking for more, even if you aren’t sure what more is, if you are willing to look within yourself for answers rather than to wait to be told what to do, how to act, or what to think, if you will be honest with yourself and with your coach, if you are open to change, willing to explore options, and ready to make a commitment in time, finances, energy, and focus then life coaching provides results faster than muddling through on your own.
How does life coaching work?
Generally life coaching sessions run the first three weeks of each month. Sessions last about 40 minutes during which you have my full attention. I work with you to confidentially explore your goals and celebrate your achievements. We plan to overcome obstacles and lay out next steps to attaining your dreams. Together we design assignments so you are never overwhelmed or asked to reach too far out of your comfort zone. Every woman is unique, and I tailor life coaching to meet your special needs.
What are your credentials for life coaching?
You want to be sure to hire a coach who is caring, trustworthy, and well trained. Many will tell you I am caring and trustworthy, but the best way for you to discover this is to reach out to me and see for yourself!
As far as training…The International Coaching Federation (ICF) holds the highest standards of voluntary certification in coaching. I’ve enjoyed taking courses through the Professional Christian Coaching Institute and will have completed coursework to attain PCC certification through the ICF by the Fall of 2016.
How long does it take to see results?
Life coaching depends on the individual client, her particular goals and comfort levels in pushing forward. We move at your pace with the understanding that real change takes time. Many of my clients enjoy coaching so much they stay sign up again after their original goals have been reached to work on new dreams!
What’s the difference between life coaching and other helping professions?
Life coaching is very similar and very different to other helping professions. For a quick look into how life coaching is similar to and different from counseling, mentoring, and consulting, please click here.
Do I have to be a Christian to participate in The Right Path Life Coaching?
Nope! I work with Christians and non-Christians alike and am continuously delighted by successes across the board!
I recognize that each of us has to come to the Lord in our own time and in our own way. I am a Catholic who finds great value in non-denominational and other Christian churches, but it took me almost 40 years to achieve the faith I have now and I would never push my Faith on anyone. Forced faith is false faith, and that’s never what I want.
Coaching is about making you feel comfortable while pushing you to discover your dreams! That can only be done if you are at ease. I hope you always feel safe and secure enough in our relationship to share how you feel about our sessions.
